Tonight, I give you 1 image from each of my 10 favorite Batman stories. Here they are, in no specific order.
Day 19: Other favorite Neil Gaiman work?
I’m not going to write a whole lot about this, mostly because I just don’t want to. But anyone interested in mythology or fantasy should read American Gods. I read it last year after I finished The Sandman and loved it. Plus I hear it’s going to be an HBO series some time in the future, so that’s cool.
I also really, really liked Gaiman’s “final Batman story” called “Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?” It’s a really cool memorial issue from after DC supposedly killed Bruce Wayne, and it gets pretty philosophical at points. As anyone knows, I’m a huge Batman fan, and this was an awesome way to sort of sum up 70 years worth of Batman stories in 2 issues. I even got some of the pages (drawn by Andy Kubert) tattooed on me as a 3/4-sleeve. There’s a hardcover and a paperback collection of it out there, so you can easily read the story for yourself.
There’s no stoppin’ the cretins from hoppin’
I got this for $2. Yes.
