I think right now, we’re all feeling that way. Nobody has much faith in their elected leaders in the same way that they did. We all have a lot more cynicism and a lot more doubt about the people who are running our lives than we did when Superman was a ‘Boy Scout.’
If anyone in the world’s been bullied, then Superman exists to take out the bully, no matter how big or smart or armed that bully might be.

It’s Wednesday! You know what that means!
I haven’t gotten the chance to read all of these, but I can say that Batman and TMNT are awesome. Nightwing is pretty good. It sets up a new arc pretty well. Red Hood is actually surprisingly good. I didn’t expect much from it, but I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I left my comics at work tonight, so I won’t get to read any until tomorrow.
New comics from Wednesday that I forgot to post about last week. All of them are very solid, with Justice League stepping up its game from last issue. Wonder Woman is also very, very awesome. Brian Azzarello has yet to write something I didn’t like. Scott Snyder is probably the best Batman writer in the past 10 years. Seriously. That guy is going to be heralded as one of the greats someday.
One of my local shops had a Halloween back issue sale, so I took advantage of it by filling in some of the Wolverine and Moon Knight issues I needed. I also picked up 2 of the new books that I had forgotten earlier this week, and one from last week, Monocyte, that caught my eye. If you’re a fan of things that are really, really weird, pick up that book.
I got two weeks’ of comics today since I couldn’t pick up my pull last Wednesday, and today was the first day I could get this week’s. This wasn’t even everything, but Tumblr only lets you upload 10 at a time. So there was more.
Last week’s comics discussion/podcast was taken from Coffee Cartel in the Central West End with Patches joining to discuss his take on the New 52. Amy helped us understand a bit more about LOCKE & KEY, Joel B. showed us all Darwyn Cooke’s PARKER series, and Joel C. and I talked about the recurring themes in Geoff Johns’ ongoing GREEN LANTERN run. We also talked about BEFORE WATCHMEN: THE MINUTEMEN #3! Download above and listen! Then sound off with any feedback.
